Classroom

Sociology major with a minor in Communications and a GPA of 2.67. Career interests: coaching basketball and expected graduation date is May 2007. Academic Achievements include Coach’s Honor Roll, fall 2005, which is a Purdue Athletics honor given to student-athletes that get a 3.0 or a higher for the semester.

Character

Katie has exemplified leadership to her teammates on and off the court by her words and actions. She is a role model in the classroom, community and on the court for our team. She has a tremendous work ethic and a positive presence with all those that she comes into contact with.

First Team All-Big Ten in 2006 & 2007, unanimous selection to Preseason All-Big Ten Team 2006 by coaches and media, Sports Illustrated preseason All-American, Top 30 Finalist for Naismith Trophy, Top 30 Finalist for Wooden Award and Wooden All-American Team, Finalist for the Wade Trophy, MVP of Preseason WNIT and Duel in the Desert Tournament, Big Ten Player of the Week Nov. 20, 2006, Dec. 25, 2006 and Feb. 19, 2007. 2004 and 2006 Big Ten All-Tournament Team, 2006 Kodak All-District, Big Ten Freshman of the Year in 2004. Has set school record for career threes (216), for points in a game (41 at Wisconsin - Feb. 18, 2006) and is the team’s leading scorer and third in the Big Ten (18.1 ppg)
