Army West Point forward Kaite Holder is a mechanical engineering major with a 3.581 cumulative grade-point average. Holder has earned a number of academic honors, including being named to the 2014 Academic All-Patriot League team and the 2014 Capital One Academic All-District 1 Team. She also is a two-time Patriot League Academic Honor Roll selection.

Character

Holder was voted as one of the Army West Point women’s soccer 2015 team captains. This past summer, Holder served as Queen of Beast during cadet basic training, also known as “Beast Barracks.” In her position, Holder commanded the cadet cadre in charge of the new cadets throughout summer training. Holder currently holds the 3rd Regimental Commander position as part of the Cadet Chain of Command for the 2015-16 academic year, which is one of only four leadership positions under the Brigade Commander, or First Captain. Holder comes from a military family where both parents, Rob and Ann Holder, are 1989 USMA graduates and her brother Will graduated from the Academy in 2013.

Community

Holder has experience as a volunteer with Habitat for Humanity.

Competition

Most recently, Holder was a 2015 Preseason All-Patriot League selection. Following her junior campaign, Holder was a 2014 First Team All-Patriot League pick. She was also a 2014 College Sports Madness Second Team All-Patriot League honoree and a 2014 College Sports Madness Preseason All-Patriot League Team choice. As a sophomore, Holder garnered 2013 third-team All-Patriot League recognition. Last year, as a junior, Holder led team with six goals and 12 points. To this point in her career, Holder has played in 57 matches, including 34 starts. The Stillwater, Minn., native has 12 career goals and five career assists and seven of her 12 goals have been game-winning tallies.
