Ryan is a three-time AHA All-Academic Team honoree (must post a 3.0 GPA or higher in all of the academic periods during which his team was actively competing). He finished his undergrad with a 4.067 GPA. He received his undergraduate degree in three years, and is currently working towards his MBA - Finance.

Character

Community

Ryan has had an extensive role in helping the Niagara - Junior Purple Eagles on the ice with more than 200 hours over his 4 years. He has read to children at local elementary schools and visited Roswell to deliver teddy bears at Christmas time.

Competition

For his career, in 112 games, the Eden, N.Y. native has three goals, 45 assists and 48 points. As a senior, he has already had three points in four games on a goal and two assists. As a junior, he played in all 38 games, pocketing a career-high 24 points, on a career-high 23 assists and a goal. He was named to the Third Team All-Conference. He ranked 34th in the nation in assists per game (0.61) and 25th in the nation, and fifth in the conference in points per game by a defenseman (0.63). He ranked fifth in the AHA in assists and finished the season a plus-10 and had 76 looks on net. As a sophomore, he notched a goal and 12 assists for 13 points in 31 games. His 12 helpers was tops among defensemen on the Purple Eagles and fifth overall. He took 67 shots.
