Classroom

Crowley has continually been an outstanding student during her time at Florida State. She has placed on the FSU Dean’s List three times, including earning a spot on the President’s List after a perfect 4.0 GPA during the Fall 2015 semester. She also has held the highest GPA on the team in each of the last two seasons. She is a four-time member of the ACC Academic Honor Roll and was recognized on the ACC All-Academic Team and CoSIDA Academic All-District 4 First Team in 2015. Already earning a pair of bachelor’s degrees in marketing and management in the spring of 2016, Crowley has already started her work towards her MBA.

Character

Crowley’s character has been one of the keys to Florida State’s success during her time on campus. While not a highly recruited athlete out of high school, she has diligently worked to improve herself to be the best she can be and take advantage of every opportunity, both on and off the field. FSU Soccer only names one captain each season, and until 2015, that went to a senior member of the team. As a junior, Head Coach Mark Krikorian gave Crowley that title and responsibility as she displayed the professionalism, work ethic, leadership and perseverance that he wants the program to represent. Now the first two-time captain in FSU history, Crowley helps teach and develop a 2016 team that has 18 underclassmen on the 24-player roster.

Community

Crowley has given back to the community in numerous ways throughout her career, volunteering her time at nearly every Project 4.0 event on Tuesday nights during her first three years at FSU. She has assisted the Boys and Girls Club of the Big Bend with fundraisers and other events and volunteered at Freedom Schools in Tallahassee, giving seminars on fitness education to young people. She also helped facilitate a birthday wish for a 4-year old child, whose only present request to his parents was to play soccer with the FSU soccer team.

Competition

An anchor on the defensive backline, Crowley has earned an ACC Championship and advanced to the College Cup in each of her three seasons at FSU, including winning the school’s first NCAA National Championship in 2014. Playing every minute of that 2014 campaign, Crowley and the Seminoles became the first team to shut out all six opponents in the NCAA Tournament en route to the national title. After posting four straight shutouts to start the 2015 postseason, Florida State now owns NCAA Tournament records of consecutive shutouts (10) and consecutive scoreless minutes (931:47). Crowley was named to the All-ACC Second Team and NSCAA All-Southeast Region Second Team in 2015, while being named an ACC Player of the Week four times in her career. She has also factored into the offensive side of the ball, totaling 18 points on five goals and eight assists. Entering the 2016 season, Crowley was named to the MAC Hermann Trophy Watch List, given to the most outstanding player in college soccer each year.
