Community

Has volunteered for Coins For Kids each season. Served as a team representative on the Washington Student-Athlete Advisory Council. Taught volleyball clinics on a school anthropology trip to Tahiti in the summer of 2014.

Competition

The 2013 Honda Award winner for volleyball as the top player in the nation. She also was named AVCA National Player of the Year, Pac-12 Player of the Year, and was a First Team All-American. She led Washington to a 30-3 record as a junior in 2013, winning the Pac-12 title and reaching the Final Four. She was a Second Team All-American her sophomore year, and was the Pac-12 Freshman of the Year in 2011. After her stellar junior season, Vansant was named the Seattle Female Sports Star of the Year.
