Classroom
Kristen Turner earned All-MAAC Academic Team honors last season, and she has maintained a 3.43 GPA throughout her time at Iona. She also was part of the Iona College NFCA academic distinction.
Character
Turner is a true leader by example. She acts as a leader on the field by showing a cool demeanor while fielding her position and particularly when in the batting box. Turner brings enthusiasm as well, acting with the team manager as ring leaders for various chants throughout the course of any game.
Community
Turner has been a part of many community outreach events. Just this year Turner has volunteered her time at the local Montgomery House in addition to Hounds of the Sound and the annual Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure.
Competition
Through three years, Turner has cemented herself as one of the greatest players in program history. She currently has the most home runs in program history with 34 thus far in her career. She also ranks in the top 10 in batting average (.354), runs scored (89), hits (151), slugging percentage (.657), and RBI (116). Turner is a three-time All-MAAC First Team selection and was named the conference Rookie of the Year as a freshman in 2014.
