After being a finalist in 2015, Allen is again a finalist for the Nancy Lieberman Award as the nation’s top point guard this season. She is a two-time honorable mention All-American and a 2014 freshman All-American, as well as a first-team All-ACC pick last year. Allen has started each of Notre Dame’s 112 games the past three years, helping the Irish to a 106-6 record, three ACC regular-season and tournament titles and two NCAA Final Fours. She was second among active D-I players in career assists (559) and fourth in career assist average (4.99 apg.) entering 2016-17 season and has dished out more assists in her first three seasons (559) than any player in school history. Allen has proven ability to raise her game in the postseason, averaging 13.5 points, 6.3 assists and 4.4 rebounds in the past two NCAA Tournaments (nine games), with a 3.00 assist/turnover ratio, .549 field-goal percentage and four 20-point games (of the seven in her career) during that span.
