Classroom

Expected to graduate in May of 2007 with a degree in sociology along with a markets & management certificate and a minor in theater studies. Expected to be a top-five pick in the upcoming WNBA Draft, Harding also has career aspirations to become an actress and/or pursue a career in sports marketing promoting women’s sports.

Character

Lindsey possesses a will to achieve at the highest level. She owns a competitive drive that provides her great motivation that she shows every day in practice and games. She sets the tone and level of play every day. She is the one to start our defense and make it great.

Community

Special Olympics are where Lindsey has devoted most of her time over the last four years. She has coached many sports including basketball, track, bowling, softball, soccer, etc. In the off-season, she spends about 2-4 hours a week with Special Olympics. During the basketball season, she volunteers whenever she has a day off from practice/games. Because of her involvement in the Special Olympics she was asked to be member of the Durham County Special Olympics advisory committee. She has been part of that committee for two years.

Competition

She is the ACC Defensive Player of the Year and was a second team All-ACC selection last year as well as an honorable mention Kodak All-America honoree. This season, Harding is a Naismith, Wooden Award and Wade Watch honoree as a preseason candidate for National Player of the Year. She was a preseason All-ACC selection and was named along with Duke sophomore Abby Waner as the top backcourt tandem in the nation by ESPN.com.
