Community

Mishu and the entire Notre Dame program is heavily involved in Grassroot Soccer (GRS), which is an international non-governmental organization that uses the power of soccer to educate, inspire and mobilize communities against the spread of HIV. Earlier this summer, the Notre Dame team took a three-week trip to Zimbabwe and along with competing in games they took part in mission work for GRS and held clinics for the local youth.

Mishu has done work with Habitat for Humanity along with doing volunteer nurse work in a hospital. During his four-plus years at Notre Dame, he has been involved with several community service projects in the South Bend area, including the Junior Irish Soccer Club, the Kroc Community Center and the Boys and Girls Club. Last year, the Notre Dame program took part in the Fight for Life program and helped a child who has cancer.

Competition

Mishu, a fifth-year senior, is entering his third season as Notre Dame’s starting right back. He has played in 54 career matches, including 50 starts, and has registered seven assists. Last season, he played every minute in all 23 games that he competed in and tallied three assists, which tied a career-best mark. Mishu assisted on the goal that tied the national title game versus Maryland, 1-1, in the 40th minute and the Irish would go on to win 2-1. He was named third team all-ACC and earned his third monogram.
