Madelyn Cole

Classroom

Madelyn Cole was named to the Conference USA Commissioner’s Honor Roll in both 2016 and 2017. She is a health and life style management major and owns a B average in the classroom.

Character

Cole was named a team captain in just her second year at Creighton and rarely leaves the floor for one of the nation’s top programs. She has earned a starting role in every match since the start of the 2017 season.

Community

Cole visited a school to meet with youth while in Slovenia in the summer of 2018. She participated in Night Out with the Jays in 2019, as well as another event called Hanging with the Jays. She also helped work summer camps in 2019.

Competition

Cole was a first-team All-Big East selection in 2018 and a first-team All-East Region setter. She was named to two all-tournament teams in 2018 (Bluejay Invitational and SMU Double Tree Classic). She led the Big East in assists per set (34th nationally) and was second in aces per set (14th nationally) in 2018, and she helped lead the 2018 team to a 29-5 record, 12 straight weeks in the top-10, and year-end No. 13 national ranking, including a perfect 20-0 record against Big East teams. She started all 34 matches in 2018.
