Classroom

Eliason is a two-time All-Big Ten Academic selection and last year he was a second-team CoSIDA/ESPN The Magazine Academic All-American. Eliason has also received the Big Ten Distinguished Scholar Award for maintaining a GPA above 3.7 for the 2009-10 academic year.

Character

Eliason is very driven yet humble, having worked his way from being a recruited walk-on to the leading goal-scorer in program history. He plays the game with integrity and is well-respected by his opponents.

Community

Eliason has been involved with team outreach programs, such as mentoring young players at youth camps and working with the Friends of Jaclyn Foundation, which pairs a child suffering from a brain tumor with a sports team. Northwestern “adopted” Russell Witek for the 2008 season before Russell passed away in March 2009. In addition, Eliason has served as a counselor at TLC Camp, which is a week-long camp for children who have cancer.

Competition

After leading the Big Ten with 13 goals in 2009, Eliason enters his senior season on the Missouri Athletic Club Hermann Trophy Watch List and tied for the school record with 30 career goals. He’s a two-time first-team All-Big Ten selection and also a two-time second-team NSCAA All-Region pick. Eliason led Northwestern to the NCAA tournament the last three seasons.
