Classroom

Dellavedova currently has a 3.54 GPA at St. Mary’s College while earning a spot on the Dean’s List 4 out of 6 semesters. Dellavedova was selected for the Capital One Academic All-America First Team in the 2011-12 season and the West Coast Conference All-Academic Team for the 2010-11 and 2011-12 seasons. Lastly, Dellavedova was selected for the National Association of Basketball Coaches Honors court for the 2011-12 season.

Character

Dellavedova is a team captain and involved in various campus activities. He organized campus fundraising events including a cancer research initiative with the Movember Foundation and a flood relief effort in Australia. He was chosen to represent the school in the St. Mary’s 150th Anniversary promotional video.

Community

Community has been a very important aspect to Dellavedova while attending St. Mary’s. He’s helped out every year with the Special Olympics Clinic that the team hosts. He is a regular at local schools, speaking and reading to students. Dellavedova organized a charity soccer game that raised money for an SMC men’s soccer student-athlete who had been diagnosed with cancer. He spoke to SMC freshman about how he balances his time and offered advice to them about being involved on campus, attending athletic events, and having an overall good college experience.

Competition

Dellavedova is a member of the Australian National Team and recently competed in the 2012 London Olympics. He earned 2012 West Coast Conference Player of the Year honors. Dellavedova is a two-time First Team All West Coast Conference and All District selection by the National Association of Basketball Coaches. He is Saint Mary’s all-time assist leader and is on track to become the all-time leader in scoring, games played, and 3-point field goals.
