Classroom

Max French is a stellar student-athlete at Bentley, one of the top business universities in the U.S. He already earned his bachelor’s degree in corporate finance and accounting and is now pursuing his master’s degree in accounting. Moreover, French was voted to the 2015-16 CoSIDA Academic All-District 1 At-Large Team for excelling on the ice and in the classroom with a 3.80 GPA during the academic year. He also has been named to the Atlantic Hockey All-Academic three straight years.

Character

French received one of the highest honors a hockey player can receive when he was named team captain by the Bentley coaching staff. His character also was recognized when he was named assistant captain as a junior for the 2015-16 season.

Community

French and his teammates have been involved in various youth hockey activities during his time at Bentley.

Competition

Max French is one of the most prolific players in Division I hockey. Through mid-October, he ranked second among active NCAA players with 112 career points, third in goals and T-5th in assists with 60.

Last season, French was named first-team All-Atlantic Hockey. He finished the season fourth nationally in points per game at 1.47. He also was fifth nationally in goals scored per game. Overall, he had 23 goals and 24 assists for 47 points in just 32 games played. In Atlantic Hockey, he ranked third in goals and points and eighth in assists.

As a sophomore he had a 16-18-34 scoring line in 35 games, and as a freshman had a 11-12-23 scoring line in 33 games.

For his career, he has been named the Atlantic Hockey Player of the Week three times.
