Classroom
Kotsopoulos has a 3.66 grade point average in business administration, with a concentration in marketing. She is a two-time America East Women’s Basketball Scholar-Athlete and was named to the 2008-09 ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District I team. Kotsopoulos is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma (Business School Honor Society) and a member of the UVM Dean’s List (2006, 2007, 2008, 2009). Kotsopoulos is a three-time America East Academic Commissioner’s Honor Roll member and a three-time America East All-Academic team member.
Character
Kotsopoulos was the UVM team captain as a junior and has been re-elected as a senior. She serves as a teaching assistant within the accounting department at the UVM business school. Kotsopoulos assists a professor who is blind, so she has a strong presence in the classroom. She also worked as a summer intern with the Connecticut Sun of the WNBA and assisted with the WNBA All-Star Game.
Community
Kotsopoulos is a member of the Lawrence Union Debate Team and participated in collegiate debate tournaments. She is a member of the Marketing and Entrepreneuership Club and UVM’s SAAC group. She has participated in many free clinics with different youth organizations in the Burlington community and her hometown in Waterloo, Ontario, and has also helped to raise money for the Special Olympics of Canada by volunteering for the Motion Marathon of Sport event. She annually volunteers with the Vermont Special Olympics events held at UVM.
Competition
Kotsopoulos was the 2009 UVM Team MVP and a member of the 2009 America East All-Championship Team, the 2009 America East Champions, and a 2009 NCAA first round participant. She led her squad to the 2008 WNIT Postseason second round and was a member of the America East All-Conference Second Team (2008 and 2009). Kotsopoulos has made the America East All-Defensive Team three times and was the 2008 America East Defensive Player of the Year. She earned honors her freshman year as a member of the 2007 America East All-Rookie Team. Since Kotsopoulos has been on the team, UVM is 64-33.
