Evans successfully completed her undergraduate degree at NC State in three and a half years and is set to begin her master’s in communcation in the Spring of 2021. She was named to the 2019-20 ACC Honor Roll.

Character

Part of the heart and sole of the Wolfpack team, Evans is a strong leader on and off the court.

Community

Evans has been a large voice for social justice on NC State’s campus and in the surrounding community. She is a creator and Vice President of the Black Athlete Coalition, a student-led organization to amplify black student-athletes voices on pressing issues in the black community and student-athlete community. Additionally, she serves on the leadership committee of Pack United, a student-athlete driven initiative in the NC State athletic department. They lead the discussion of social justice, privilege, and inequalities across NC State’s campus and the surrounding community.

As a part of Pack United, she has organized and led peaceful demonstrations, organized fundraising events, shared her personal story, and led discussion groups via Zoom in conversations on social injustice, inequality, privilege, voting, and other pressing issues.

Evans routinely works with the Wolfpack Volleyball Summer Camps and has also spent time volunteering as a volleyball mentor at nearby elementary schools, helping teach teamwork and communication skills to young children. She has also volunteered with the Boy’s and Girls’ Club and The Soup Kitchen.

Competition

Evans is poised to set multiple records at NC State and is a three-time All-ACC honoree, the third player in Wolfpack history to earn be a three time honoree.

She surpassed 1,000 career kills in the Fall of 2020 and currently ranks fourth in the rally-scoring era at NC State with 1,056 career kills. Her 408 kills in the 2019 season are the third-most in the rally-scoring era at NC State.

Throughout her career, she has tallied double-digit kills in 60 total matches, including a pair of performances in the 2017 NCAA Tournament. She was a large part of the 2017 Wolfpack team, who won the first NCAA Tournament game in program history.

Throughout her career, she is averaging 3.25 kills/set and made the transition in the Fall of 2020 to being a six-rotation player.
