A proficient Spanish language speaker, Kimmel possesses a 3.10 GPA in writing seminars.

Character

Kimmel was elected as a team captain for the 2010 season and is a member of the Johns Hopkins Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.

Community

Kimmel has been an active participant over the last four years in the Johns Hopkins Men’s Lacrosse Holiday Magic initiative. The team spends a lot of time in the fall semester raising money, gathering toys, supplies, clothing, and essentials for families in need throughout the Baltimore area.

Competition

Kimmel is a second team United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association All-American as a junior and a pre-season first team All-American this year. He has helped Johns Hopkins to two NCAA championship games in 2007 and 2008. He has career totals of 56 goals and 50 assists, and is one of just three midfielders in school history with more points as a freshman, sophomore, and junior.
