Classroom
Fossier was named to the American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA) the last two seasons while also being named to the Hockey East All-Academic Team every season. His GPA was required to be over 3.6 to qualify for both awards.
Character
Fossier is a team captain for the 2019-2020 season. Head coach Red Gendron says, “Mitch Fossier is and has been an exceptional player here and one of the top assist producers in the nation. His work as our captain has been instrumental in the success of our team. As a student he is nearly at 4.0. All of those attributes pale in comparison to how he carries himself with all whom he encounters and with his efforts in service to our community. ”
Community
Fossier is a member of Male Athletes Against Violence. He has volunteered at local schools and participated in marches to bring awareness to different purposes.
Competition
Last season, he had a team leading 36 points, with 28 and eight goals. Mitchell Earned Hockey East all Conference Third Team All Star Honors.
