Nick Allegretti is a three-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree who earned a 3.54 GPA in undergrad, received a degree in accountancy in December of 2017 and enrolled in the master’s program for recreation, sport and tourism.
Character
Allegretti was voted a team captain two straight seasons by his teammates.
Community
Allegretti is very active in volunteering for the Tom Jones Challenger League. He also is a chapter president for the team’s Uplifting Athletes, an organizer for Lift for Life, helped raise more than $88,000 for rare disease research and awareness over the last two years, and was named to the AFCA Good Works Team preseason watch list for the second straight year.
Competition
Allegretti was a 2017 All-Big Ten Honorable Mention honoree. He had 25 consecutive starts, the longest streak on the team, and played 760 of 762 offensive snaps in 2017, good for 99.7% and the most on the team. He led the team with 782 snaps in 2016.
