Character

He is a two-time WAC Player of the Year and an All-American and yet has continued to improve his game and works hard as anyone on our team. Many reporters have asked him about the awards he has received and records he has broken during his career, but to Nick, the most important thing has always been the team. He has told everyone that he is most proud of helping his team win, and he and his teammate have now become the winningest players in school history, helping Nevada to just under 100 victories in their career so far.

Community

Prides himself on being a good role model for young people in our community, participates in youth clinics and frequently visits elementary schools to participate in their reading programs and speak to kids about making good life choices.

Competition

Named the 2005 and 2006 WAC Player of the Year, earned third-team All-America honors in 2005-06, Preseason first-team All-America selection by several publications this year, finalist for both the Wooden Award and Naismith Trophies last year and is on the watch lists for both prestigious awards again this year. Led the WAC in scoring and been ranked in the top 20 nationally in the last two seasons and has already become Nevada’s career leader for scoring, blocks, field goals made and free throws made.
