An All-Ivy and All-New England First Team selection as a sophomore and All-Ivy Second Team honoree as a junior, Lombardi finished the 2014 season among the league’s top 10 in triples, slugging, home runs, RBI and total bases. He also led the conference’s third basemen with 91 assists and, at one point in his career, did not commit an error at the hot corner over a 58-game stretch. He came up big in a divisional playoff game with a triple, homer and four RBI to help Dartmouth clinch its seventh straight Rolfe Division title. During his sophomore season, he was named the Dairy Queen Classic Most Outstanding Player (hosted by Minnesota). He entered his final season in Hanover with a .271 career average with 11 home runs and 90 RBI while playing in 117 of Dartmouth’s 122 games in his first three years. Defensively, he had a 58-game errorless streak at the hot corner and led Ivy third basemen in assists last year with 91.
