Classroom

Luescher earned his bachelor’s degree in three years, earning many academic awards along the way. In May of 2019, he was inducted into the National College Athlete Honor Society.

He was also indicted in the Beta Gamma Sigma International Business Honor society this spring, where he will be a class speaker in the ceremony.

Luescher was named to the America East All-Academic Team and America East Commissioner’s Honor Roll in both 2017, 2018 and 2019. In 2017, he was also named to the America East Honor Roll.

Luescher is currently pursuing his master’s degree.

Character

Luescher is a two-time team captain.

He has had success as a student-athlete due to his strength of character and discipline. He willingly accepts help, but shows perseverance in his actions.

Luescher has found ways to see the bigger picture at Binghamton while adjusting to the rigors of being a student-athlete.

Community

Luescher has been very active in the community at Binghamton. He was named to the 2018 America East Helping Hands Team for his involvement in the community.

Throughout his time on campus, he has volunteered with Vestal Special Olympics, CreateABLE Fair Play, and SUNY’s Got Your Back.

Luescher is also part of the Binghamton University Leadership Institute.

Competition

Luescher earned 2019 All-America East second team honors.

In 2017, Luescher earned both America East All-Rookie Team and America East Rookie of the Year honors.

He has earned America East Offensive Player of the Week and America East Rookie of the Week honors twice.

Luescher ranks among the leaders nationally in goals per game and points per game so far this season.
