Classroom
Oyvind Alseth will earn his bachelor’s degree in finance in 3.5 years. He was voted to the CoSIDA Academic All-District Team last season and is a three-time member of the dean’s list and six-time Athletic Director’s Honor Roll honoree. Alseth has been on the ACC Honor Roll the past three years and is Syracuse’s 2015 ACC Scholar-Athlete of the Year nominee for men’s soccer.
Character
Alseth is serving as a team captain for the second consecutive season.
Community
Alseth has given of his time by volunteering at Syracuse’s youth clinics both in and out of season.
Competition
Alseth was voted to the All-ACC Third-Team in 2015 when he tied his career highs in every statistical category. He has played an integral role in leading Syracuse to its first No. 1 ranking in 2014 and to its first ACC Tournament title and first appearance in the College Cup in 2015. Alseth has been a fixture in Syracuse’s starting lineup since his freshman year. He has started all but one game in which he has played.
