Pat Frazier has excelled in the classroom at Loyola, entering his final semester with a grade-point average of 3.235 as a business administration major. He has been a member of the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll and a member of Loyola’s Athletic Director’s Honor Roll for his performance off the field. In addition to those honors, Frazier has been a member of the Dean’s List at Loyola and has posted a grade-point average of 3.66 in his major.

During the summer of 2014, Frazier held an position with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) as an Insider Trading/Fraud Detection intern. There, he conducted reviews and investigations to compile evidence of potentially fraudulent or illegal conduct and assisted analysts and managers analyze accounts and financial activity of suspected insider trading.

Character

Frazier was named a team captain by his peers and the Loyola coaches for his leadership on the field and in the locker room and has also held several leadership positions at Loyola. He is the co-president of Loyola’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and has served with the organization since 2012. Frazier is a member of Loyola’s prestigious Green & Grey Society, a group of 14 students at the school who serve as liaisons to the university’s president, administration and board of trustees. For this, he was selected from among seven men and seven women from the senior class through a competitive nomination process by university executives and administrators in recognition of their contributions to the Loyola community. Additionally, Frazier has been a participant in the Loyola Leadership Academy, which is run in partnership with the Janssen Sports Leadership Center.

Community

Frazier has served in many community service opportunities at Loyola and in his own community. He has worked as a youth lacrosse coach with All-Met Lacrosse in Montgomery County, Maryland. He also has been an integral part of the men’s lacrosse team’s “Homeless Hookups,” working with members of the Loyola Campus Ministry department to reach out to less fortunate members of the Baltimore community at homeless shelters to distribute food and provide fellowship and support to the homeless.

Competition

Frazier joined the Loyola men’s lacrosse team as a walk-on, non-scholarship player from Georgetown Prep School and was a member of the Greyhounds’ 2012 NCAA Championship team. Following that season, he was awarded the Dircks Family Scholarship that supports “a student-athlete who shows promise both in the classroom and on the playing field.” He became a member of the Greyhounds’ starting defense in the third game of his sophomore year and has held that spot ever since, starting each of the last 32 games through the first contest of 2015. As a junior, he was a key member of the Greyhounds’ defense that finished fourth in NCAA Division I in scoring. He caused 15 turnovers and picked up 27 ground balls throughout the 2014 season.

Frazier enters his senior campaign as a Preseason All-American and member of the Preseason All-Patriot League Team. In the season’s first game, he had a terrific one-on-one performance against the University of Virginia’s James Pannell. He held Pannell, a 2014 All-American who scored 38 goals, without a goal or assist in the contest.
