Paul Bitetti is a four-time member of the Detroit Athletic Director’s Honor Roll. He is a three-time member of the MAAC Academic Honor Roll and a three-time member of the MAAC All-Academic Team. Bitetti has also been a member of the dean’s list.

Character

Bitetti is a team captain as a senior and a leader of the Titan defense. He is also a member of the team’s leadership council.

Community

Bitetti has volunteered with the team at Angels’ Place Family Fun Day and Freshmen Move-in Day. Bitetti, along with the Titans, has also taken part in Blight Busters to rebuild the Old Redford neighborhood.

Competition

Bitetti has played in 40 career games with 36 starts—all at defense—and has served as UDM’s number one long-stick defender the past two seasons. He is a two-time first-team All-MAAC selection at defense. Bitetti was named preseason All-MAAC by the conference and Inside Lacrosse as a senior. His 42 caused turnovers is fourth in school history. Bitetti was Detroit’s Defensive Player of the Year as a sophomore as he posted 24 caused turnovers, tied for seventh in school history. He led the team with a career-high 24 caused turnovers in 2014 and ended the year 12th in Division I and leading the MAAC with 1.85 caused turnovers per game.
