Classroom

Dolabella, an economics major, has excelled in the classroom since arriving at Marshall. He is both a three-time member of the C-USA Commissioner’s Honor Roll and three-time Academic Medalist for maintaining a 3.75 GPA or higher.

In 2019, Dolabella was also named to the C-USA All-Academic Team and United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-South Region second team.

Character

Dolabella has been a leader for the Herd, acting as someone that the team can rally around and trust. He does an excellent job of protecting his teammates from altercations on the pitch, and is the first one to pull his teammates away before anything happens. Dolabella has an electric personality and has always been welcoming and thankful.

Other Division I schools, including some in the same conference, told him he would never play at this level. Instead, Dolabella has become a star on a championship winning team.

Community

Dolabella has been heavily involved in the Marshall community, visiting four different elementary schools to read to kids.

He has also been helping kids from a football club here in West Virginia, as well as coaching underprivileged kids from Kanawha Valley (W.Va.).

Competition

Dolabella has been a consistent starter throughout most of his career, including starting every match that he has appeared in over the last two seasons. He scored the Golden Goal in the 103rd minute of the 2019 Conference USA Championship match against Charlotte, giving the Herd its first ever C-USA Title and trip to the NCAA Tournament.

Dolabella, the C-USA Tournament Offensive MVP, tied for second on the team with seven goals in 2019. He helped Marshall to its highest-ever ranking at No. 11 and was honored as an All-Conference second team selection.

In three years with Marshall, Dolabella has appeared in 57 matches, logging 4,328 minutes, 12 goals, seven assists, and is credited with two game-winners.
