Lowry is a finance major at Santa Clara and has a 3.13 cumulative GPA. He was a member of the WCC Commissioner’s honor roll in 2004 and 2006.

Character

Lowry is a two-year captain of the men’s soccer team and highly respected by all of his teammates. On the field, he is not a player that complains or shows frustration. He plays the game the right way by working hard and being respectful of his opponents, the officials and the fans. He has been an inspirational leader for Santa Clara for the past three seasons.

Community

Lowry earned the SCU Comcast Community All-Star Award in May of 2006 for his work in the Santa Clara community.

Competition

Lowry is a three-time All-WCC selection and in 2006, he was named NSCAA All-Far West Region First Team after leading SCU to the quarterfinals of the NCAA Tournament. He tied for the team lead in scoring in 2006 with six goals and two assists for 14 points. For his career he has scored 15 goals and nine of those goals have been game-winners for the Broncos. His free kick goal in the 2006 NCAA Tournament gave SCU a 1-0 win over Ohio State. His fine play earned him a spot on the U.S. U-23 national team for the team’s trip to Japan in February of 2007, where he played in two matches. Coming into the 2007 season, Lowry earned a spot on the M.A.C. Hermann Trophy Watch List and was a College Soccer News Preseason All-American.
