Classroom

Semansky was a Second-Team CoSIDA/Capital One Academic All-America sporting a 3.96 grade-point average. In addition, she was a District VII All-Academic honoree and is a three-time All-Big Sky Conference Academic pick. Semansky plans to teach elementary school kids in Montana.

Character

Semansky is a great example of living all areas of her life with excellence. She is extremely giving off the court and cares deeply about others. She always finds time to give back to others. On the court and in the classroom she has tremendous work ethic. She is very consistent in her effort and dedication in utilizing her gifts to their full potential. She is a team captain for the 2012-13 season.

Community

Semansky has volunteered her time in working with the Boys and Girls Club of Southwest Montana, along with MSU’s reading program in three local elementary schools. She also participates in Lion’s Club Basketball Clinics and Special Olympics Basketball Clinics.

Competition

Semansky was a 2011 First-Team All-Big Sky Conference honoree and a 2012 Second-Team All-Big Sky Conference Honoree. She has led the Big Sky Conference in Field Goal Percentage the last two years and earned Big Sky Player of the Week kudos in 2011. She was the team’s 2011-12 Defensive Player of the Year and won the 2010-11 Bobcat Pride Award.
