Community

Given his diagnosis as a diabetic, Edgar’s involvement with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) is a natural fit. He has organized fundraisers for the foundation, once collaborating with his mother to organize a fundraiser for the JDRF at St. Mary’s Middle School in Maryland.

Competition

Edgar has started every single match since coming to George Mason University as a freshman in 2006. He led George Mason to the NCAA Tournament in two of his three years on the team and was named to the 2008 CAA All-Tournament Team for his role in helping the Patriots capture their first conference championship since the 1989 season. He was a 2008 second-team All-CAA selection. As a sophomore, he was named to the 2007 adidas D.C. College Cup All-Tournament Team and earned third-team All-CAA honors. As a freshman, he was named to the 2006 Men’s College All-Rookie first team by Top Drawer Soccer.
