Robyn Fairbanks

Classroom

Robyn has been named to Division I Independent All-Academic Team twice and was listed as an ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District VIII Second Team in 2007-08.  She maintains a 3.25 GPA and is part of a team that was ranked ninth in the country (D-I) in the WBCA Academic Top 25 Team Honor Roll.  Fairbanks will graduate in spring of 2009.

Character

Fairbanks is a member of Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and is on team leadership council.  She is known to be very humble despite extraordinary success on the court and accepts her role as team leader serving as an example for teammates and all athletes as a player and a student.

Community

Robyn participates frequently in service projects.  She has served as a main speaker at elementary school discussing academics and the importance of setting goals and achieving them on and off the court.  Fairbanks also played in a drug-free week basketball challenge and did a drug-free presentation in addition to visiting a school for troubled youth to speak to their girl’s basketball team.

Competition

Robyn was named honorable mention All-American as a sophomore (WBCA) and junior (Associated Press) and has ranked in the top four in scoring among Division I players in each of last two seasons.  She is a two-time D-I Independent Player of the Year and has led UVU to a school record in wins each of past two seasons.  Currently, Fairbanks is the all-time school record holder in points scored.
