Ronni Williams

University of Florida

Telecommunications – Media & Society

Ronni Williams will earn her undergraduate degree in four years, completing all coursework and other required elements for a Bachelor’s in Telecommunications – Media & Society in the Spring of 2017. She has earned SEC Academic Honor Roll status during her tenure.

At the end of her junior season, Williams received the team’s Overall Brickhouse Award for both practice and games. The award is a culmination of the daily honor given to the player who excels in seven non-statistical charted ways (such as charges taken, communicating to teammates during drills, etc.), as she leads the team during games and practice.

Interacting with children is very important to Williams, who is extremely active in the Gainesville community. The two primary places she enjoys volunteering her time is at Shands Hospital Pediatric Ward and at Girls Place, which “empowers girls to celebrate themselves.”

A 2015-16 All-SEC Second Team performer by the league’s coaches, Williams led the team in scoring both her sophomore and junior year. She has scored in every game she has played except one and entered her senior season with a 55-game scoring streak. She earned SEC Player of the Week honors once as a junior and SEC Freshman of the Week twice as a freshman. Following both her sophomore and junior seasons, she earned Team MVP honors at the postseason awards banquet.
