Scott Schreiber has been named to the Academic All-Big Ten Team twice (2016 and 2017). He was also named to the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll in the fall of 2015, 2016 and 2017, as well as the spring of 2016 and 2017. In addition, he was awarded the Nebraska Honors (Bronze) Academic Medallion in 2016 and 2017 and was named to the Dean’s List in the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources for the Spring of 2017.

Character

Schreiber has been a participant in the Diversity and Inclusion Summit for the past three years.

Community

Schreiber has participated in numerous volunteer opportunities including the following organizations, causes and events: American Red Cross (2015, 2016, 2017); Avery Strong Day Bone Marrow Registry (2016, 2017); Husker Donor Hotline, where he answered phone calls to donors thanking them for support (2016, 2017); Laney Ledbetter Rare Disease Awareness Day at Haymarket Park (2016, 2017); Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital (2015, 2016, 2017); Reverse Trick-or-Treating (2015); Husker Heroes Outreach Event, supporting youth and families with Autism (2014); and Shop with a Jock (2014).

Competition

Schreiber has a list of impressive accomplishments in his career so far including the following: 2017 MLB Draft Pick (Tampa Bay Rays, 26th Round), Perfect Game/Rawlings honorable mention All-American (2016), ABCA second-team Midwest All-Region (2016), Louisville Slugger National Player of the Week (3/14/16), All-Big Ten First Team (2016, 2017), Big Ten Player of the Week (3/14/16) and 2015 Big Ten All-Freshman Team. He also led the 2017 Husker offense in most statistical categories including batting average (.330), slugging percentage (.494), hits (77), RBIs (51), home runs (7) and doubles (15) and led the 2016 Huskers with 16 home runs and 55 RBIs, while hitting .325 (64-for-197) with 10 doubles and one triple.
