Character

Perkovic is very respected on the national level, as he was a member of the NCAA Competition Oversight Committee. The midfielder was the lone student representative on the committee during the 2015-16 season. Perkovic also has given his time in a number of clinics held in the inner city, encouraging and interacting with the children who look up to him. The senior is great with kids, showing a lot of patience with the autograph requests from children at the Notre Dame road matches.

Community

Perkovic donates his time to the Dickinson Intermediate Fine Arts Academy, a local middle school, and serves as a mentor to the young male students. Perkovic also takes part in an annual OWLS Lacrosse Playing for Peace event, which takes place in Chicago. In the event, he works with young, underprivileged lacrosse players, teaching the aspiring athletes the fundamentals of lacrosse while also pouring in to their lives.

Competition

In three seasons at Notre Dame, Perkovic has earned first-team All-America honors in each of the last two years on the team. As a junior (2016), he was named to the All-ACC Team and All-ACC Academic Team. Perkovic has led the Irish to an appearance in the NCAA Championship game (2014), the NCAA Tournament semifinals (2015) and NCAA Tournament quarterfinals (2016), as well as the 2014 ACC Tournament title. He has scored 88 career goals, which ranks 9th in program history. Perkovic had a memorable performance by recording five fourth-quarter goals in the 2015 NCAA Tournament semifinal game against Denver to force overtime.
