Three months after losing her grandmother in 1997, her father was killed in a car accident – hit by a drunk driver. She seems to know everyone in the athletic department and beyond at USC, and she has made friends with countless players on opposing teams. Has played through ankle injuries and many other ailments the past two years, choosing sturdy tape and post game ice rather than time on the sideline.
