Character

Megally is the heart and soul of the Blue Demons and inspired an amazing turnaround in 2015 when DePaul started out 1-10 and rallied to qualify for the BIG EAST tournament for the first time since 2011. As a co-captain, his leadership and motivation goes unquestioned, and Megally rehabbed with a passion in recovering from an offseason injury.

Community

Over the last four years, Megally has participated in DePaul’s blanket drive, making blankets for under-served children at the St Vincent de Paul Center. He has led instruction at Blue Demon children’s soccer camps and volunteered his time at the Urban Initiatives Organization helping inner-city youth from under-privileged communities. He is working with a church group in assisting senior citizens to organize households and has been an active supporter of the DemonTHON dance marathon raising money for charity. He has been in the forefront of the university’s Vincentian Service Day projects.

Competition

Megally was selected All-BIG EAST Second Team by the league’s coaches in 2015 after finishing among the conference leaders in goals and points. Behind his stellar play all over the pitch, the Blue Demons are off to a good start in 2016.
