Character

LeMay has coached at Dead Frog Volleyball Club for three years at the youth level, 12- to 13-year-old girls. “Definitely one of the most impactful experiences in college, teaching girls the sport that I love so much and watching them fall in love with my favorite game,” said LeMay. “I’ve coached every spring semester since my freshman year, traveled and organized the team all on my own while juggling school and my own volleyball team. I love it!”

Community

LeMay has been a 2016-2017 Western Michigan University female representative for the Student Advisory Council of the MAC. She was a 2016 Team Impact team representative for youth cancer patient Rose McGrath and has been a 2016 and 2017 WMU Female Athlete representative for MAC Mental Health Summit. She also has been a keynote speaker at the Michigan Interscholastic Volleyball Coaches Association High School All-Star Banquet in 2017.

LeMay is an undergrad lab volunteer at the WMU Organic Chemistry Department. She has also made blankets for hospice, worked with the Special Olympics on campus, served meals at the local homeless shelter Ministry with Community, read to kids at local elementary schools and helped with the annual Salvation Army kettle drives.

Competition

LeMay is a three-time first-team All-MAC selection. She is one of 22 players in program history to reach 1,000 career kills. In 2014, she was the MAC Freshman of the Year. She also helped lead WMU to the 2014 MAC Tournament Championship and a berth in the NCAA Tournament.
