Classroom
Tanner Thompson is a two-time Academic All-Big Ten section (2014, 2015). He is majoring in finance in the Kelley School of Business and is on pace to graduate in December 2016.
Character
Thompson is a leader on and off the field for the Hoosiers. He has helped Indiana make the NCAA Tournament each of his three seasons, including a trip to the Sweet Sixteen in 2015.
Community
During his career, Thompson has participated in Read Across America and at a children’s therapy center in the community.
Competition
Thompson is a two-time All-America honoree (third team in 2015 and first team in 2014), two-time first-team All-Region honoree and two-time first-team All-Big Ten selection (2014, 2015). In 2015, he was named Big Ten Midfielder of the Year, and throughout his career has earned three spots on the MAC Hermann Trophy Watch List, including being a semifinalist in 2014.
