Classroom

Humphrey is a junior majoring in sports studies. She hopes to pursue a professional playing career and then move into the real estate industry. She was named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll for the 2006-07 school year

Character

Humphrey spends countless hours representing Georgia basketball. She is often the last player to leave Stegeman Coliseum after signing every autograph requested. She carries herself in a pleasant demeanor at all times and is equally impressive in interactions with both youth and adults.

Community

Humphrey has visited numerous local elementary schools, serving both as a “celebrity reader” in classrooms and to present awards at school assemblies. She has volunteered with the Special Olympics. In fact, she missed Coach Andy Landers’ induction into the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame because she previously committed to work the statewide Special Olympics and did not want to go back on that commitment. She also took part in a home run derby at a Georgia softball game with proceeds benefiting local charities.

Competition

A three-time All-American and All-SEC selection, Humphrey already ranks among Georgia’s top 10 career leaders in points (No. 9 with 1720) and rebounds (No. 10 with 780), as well as in blocked shots, field goals made, free throws made and free throw attempts. Tasha has been stellar in her senior year being named to the Wooden and Naismith Award mid-season candidates list.
