Taylor Glover is a health sciences major at CSUN and carries a 3.35 cumulative GPA into the spring of 2017. She has twice been named to the dean’s list (spring 2016 and fall 2014) and is a two-time member of the Academic All-Big West Softball team. She also has been named to the Varsity N, CSUN’s academic honor roll for student-athletes, in each of her first three years at the university.

Character

Glover is an outstanding leader and teammate for the CSUN softball program. She has a big, bright smile in centerfield and carries an energy and enthusiasm for the game that is infectious. She is a loud and vivacious and possesses a great character and spirit. That will serve her well as she enters the professional world.

Community

Glover is a volunteer at the Child Development Institute-Early Learning Center. At the center, she works with children and parents and helped implement a program that taught healthy eating and exercise. Glover and her group later shared the program at an acute care center. She also got her Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification from the American Red Cross.

Competition

Glover is closing out a sensational career on the diamond at CSUN. Last season, she earned NFCA All-American Third Team honors for her work in the outfield, the first Matador to achieve the feat since 2004. Glover finished the year with a .429 batting average, 39 runs, 31 RBIs, 22 stolen bases, 11 doubles, three triples and four home runs. She owns the CSUN Division I program record for career stolen bases and ranks among the Big West Conference all-time top 10 in both triples and stolen bases. She has earned three-straight first-team All-Big West honors and is the first Matador in nearly 20 years to earn three-straight NFCA All-West Region honors. Glover also ranks in the school’s career top 10 in runs, doubles, triples, RBIs and hits.
