Kemp is a two-time Academic All-ACC selection, boasting a 3.303 grade point average in the challenging Robert H. Smith School of Business.

Character

A gritty defender who puts in 100 percent at all times, Kemp is the backbone of the Maryland defense. He has been selected as a team captain for the 2012 season.

Community

Kemp volunteers with his teammates by participating in Maryland’s reading program and also volunteering for Relay for Life.

Competition

Kemp has started in all 66 games he’s appeared in, leading the Terps to at least the NCAA Sweet 16 each season. He is a second Team All-ACC pick in 2011 after helping the defense net eight shutouts while surrendering a mere 1.05 goals per match. He boasted a career-high four assists as a junior and was a key part of a unit that recorded a school-record 15 shutouts in 2010. Kemp was an All-ACC Freshman Team pick, Soccer America All-Freshman First Team selection, and TopDrawerSoccer.com All-Rookie Second Team honoree in 2009.
