Classroom

Muldoon has the courage and inquisitiveness to deeply explore the Brown curriculum and to discover and pursue what drives him.  His academic path started with a focus on biology and the environment, and he was well on his way to completing the degree requirements for such.  But Muldoon did not take the easy route, or a familiar route to most athletes, once he discovered a true passion for religious studies his junior year.  Facing the daunting challenge of a plethora of required courses, Muldoon was not phased and today he is on track to graduate on time this May with a Religious Studies degree and focus in East Asian Buddhism.  He carries a 3.2 GPA while taking a heavier course load than most as he completes his newfound degree.  Muldoon is a reflective, intuitive man whom can best be described as an intellect who happens to be a great lacrosse player and warrior on the field.

Character

His current title of captain of the Brown lacrosse team was one that Muldoon fought for. He has helped lead Brown to an Ivy League title in 2008 and an NCAA Tournament berth in 2009. Muldoon has been leading his team with his actions and his voice since arriving at Brown.

Community

This past fall, Muldoon ran a coat drive to benefit a local shelter in need. He has helped at local elementary schools and is in the process of starting an afterschool program teaching kids lacrosse. He works with Room to Read, the Innocence Project, Sustainable Harvest International, and the Wounded Warrior Project 36.

Competition

Muldoon is an honorable mention United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association All-American selection. He is one of the top goal scorers in Brown lacrosse history and is a two time first team All-Ivy and All-New England selection. His 89 career goals find him ranked 12th best in Brown history. He has registered 113 career points for the Bears.
