Thomas Walkup

Stephen F. Austin State University

In 2014-15 alone, Walkup crafted a resume most would be hard-pressed to put together in a career. An AP honorable mention All-American and a Lou Henson All-American that season, Walkup took home Southland Conference Player of the Year, Southland Conference Tournament MVP and first-team NABC All-District 23 team honors following the ‘Jacks latest history-making season. Walkup led SFA in scoring (15.6 ppg), rebounding (6.6 rpg) and field goal percentage (.567) in 2014-15. In 2013-14, was part of a Lumberjack squad that set a school and conference single-season record with 32 wins, extended its home winning streak to 33 games, led the nation with 14 overall road wins and 12 consecutive, made a third round appearance in the NCAA Tournament and entered the contest with UCLA (3/23) as the nation leader with a 29-game winning streak. His personal accolades in 2013-14 included Southland Conference All-Defensive Team, Southland Conference Tournament MVP and All-Southland Conference Third Team. All in all, Walkup has helped the Lumberjacks win three straight regular season Southland Conference titles and appear in two NCAA Tournaments.
