Jepson works with the Southern California Seahorses’ soccer team in the summers, which is a part of Missionary Athletes International in Orange County, Calif. On that team he works with teammates much older than himself and assists in the organization and production of year-round soccer camps, clinics and Bible studies all over Southern California. As part of the Athletes in Action leadership team at Duke he acts as the Emcee. He contacts speakers and meets coordinates weekly meetings and Bible studies for varsity athletes, and also facilitates and directs meetings. He has helped assist at soup kitchens, built homes for Habitat for Humanity and also packed food for starving children in Africa. He also assists with Duke University soccer camps. At the camps he coaches and motivates kids ages 5-14 to improve and develop fundamental skills to gain a better understanding of the sport. Jepson has participated in many missions trips. With the Southern California Seahorses he took a summer tour in Guadalajara, Mexico. As a member of the Summit Church, Jepson took a spring break missions’ trip to New Orleans, La. Last year he went to New York with the same group to help plant one of their sister churches. “Helping our Homies,” which is a mission that created the idea of buying food, preparing meals and distributing them to the homeless in downtown Los Angeles is yet another program Jepson is involved in. Through that initiative, he contacts individuals and organizes teams to disperse meals during the summer and winter.

Jepson has led Duke to the Final Four in 2004, the ACC Tournament Championship in 2005 and 2006, and the ACC Regular Season Championship in 2006.
