Timmy Kelly has a cumulative GPA of 3.36 (3.6 in major). He earned All-ACC academic honors in 2018, an award that takes into account both academics and athletics. He was named to the ACC Academic Honor Roll and is a four-time Dean’s List selection.
Character
Kelly was selected as a team captain for the 2019 season. He has been a member of UNC’s Honor Court since his sophomore year. He is also on the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Leadership Team and active in Student Legal Services.
Community
Kelly participates in a wide variety of service projects including Habitat for Humanity, Ronald McDonald House, Police Academy League and Vs. Cancer, which is fundraising to combat childhood cancers. He has led two international service trips to Ethiopia and Mexico.
Competition
Kelly was a key contributor to the 2016 NCAA Championship and 2017 ACC Championship teams. In 2018, he appeared in 13 games and started 11 with 21 goals (3rd on team) and 28 points (4th on team). He captained the U.S. U19 team to gold at the 2016 World Championship.
