Tristen Edwards

Classroom

Edwards has a 3.249 cumulative GPA and has been a member of the Academic All-Big Ten team in 2018 and 2019. She is a six-time Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll member. Tristen made the Dean’s List in the Fall 2019 and Spring 2017 semesters.

Character

Edwards has received the Tom Osborne Citizenship Team award in 2017, 2018, and 2019. She was on the 2019 Nebraska Softball Unity Council (Leadership Group).

From Head Coach Rhonda Revelle: “There is not a better teammate than Tristen Edwards. Everything she does, she does for the greater good of the team. Nobody works harder or cares more. Her willingness to sacrifice for her team is uncommon and special. Tristen is a beautiful human being who just happens to be an excellent softball player as well.”

Community

Edwards has done extensive community service in the community. Places she has volunteered for include: Matt Talbot Food Kitchen, People’s City Mission, Global Huskers Festival, West Lincoln Fun Run, Kahoa Wellness Fair, Diversity and Inclusion Summit, One Shirt One Body, Belmont Elementary Summer Camp, Caveat Elementary Fun Night, Reverse Trick or Treating, Underprivileged Family Adoption Team, Kloefkorn Elementary Fun Night, Maxey Elementary Fun Night, Adams Elementary, Boo at the Zoo, Jack Frost Jog, and Husker Heroes.

Competition

Trisen was a member of the All-Big Ten First-Team in 2018 and 2019, as well as a member of the NFCA All-Midwest Region Third Team in 2019. She has been honored as the Big Ten Player of the Week three times. Tristen received College Sports Madness National Field Player of the Week (2/18/19) and the Louisville Slugger/NFCA National Player of the Week (2/19/19) honors. She Nebraska school records in multi-home run games in a single season, single-game RBIs, and career multi-home run games.
