Classroom
Tyler Moorman is enrolled in a five-year MBA program with a minor in leadership. Maintaining a 3.73 GPA, he is a member of the Global Jesuit Business Student Association and has been named to both the Horizon League Athletic Director’s Honor Roll and the UDM Athletic Director’s Honor Roll each semester from 2013-2016.
Character
Moorman was named the team captain for the 2016 season. He also studied abroad in Italy during the summer of 2015, earning nine credits with three classes in six weeks.
Community
Moorman mentored and guided Detroit youth through the GM Student Corps last summer as an intern. He also has volunteered at the Detroit Rescue Mission Ministries and Capuchin Soup Kitchen.
Competition
Moorman was named second-team All-Horizon League as a junior after leading team with seven goals and 14 points. He ranked second in the conference with seven goals, and his team nominated him Offensive MVP as a junior on top of being named Freshman of the Year in 2013. In his career, Moorman has 10 goals and one assist for 21 points. In 2015, he tied for fourth in the Horizon League in points per game (0.35), and during his time at the University of Detroit Mercy, Moorman has been a three-year starter and also is a member of Detroit City FC during the summer months.
