Thompson is on track to graduate in May of 2021.

She serves as the women’s basketball team’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) representative.

Character

Thompson has phenomenal character and is a tremendous leader on the team and within the athletic department.

Involved with her church and strongly valuing her spirituality, she is also very family-oriented and has an amazing relationship with her mother. Thompson’s mother is a breast cancer survivor and their journey through that ordeal has made her a stronger person through facing adversity and learning how to overcome it.

Community

Thompson has been involved in a great deal of community service through SAAC.

She was part of the Auburn Athletics social justice panel last year, along with head coach Terri Williams-Flournoy and men’s basketball Head Coach Bruce Pearl. Thompson is a very strong social justice advocate on campus and in her personal life.

Competition

As of Jan. 5, Thompson was the nation’s top rebounder in 2020-21, averaging 15.3 per game. She is on track to be Auburn’s all-time leader in rebounds and grabbed her 1,000th career rebound on Dec. 20 vs. Belmont.

Thompson has 49 career double-doubles, which leads the nation and is the all-time Auburn record. She is averaging 18.8 points and 15.3 rebounds in her senior season. For her career, she has averaged 13.8 points and 10.5 rebounds and would be the second player in Auburn history to average a double-double for her career

In 2019-2020, Thompson was a first-team All-SEC selection and AP honorable mention All-American.
