Classroom

Stroilo’s GPA is the highest among all UAlbany volleyball veterans at 3.74.  A biology major, she earned America East Volleyball Scholar-Athlete and a place on the All-Academic Team this past season.  She also earned the SUNY Chancellor’s Award for volleyball, given to the top student-athlete of a sport in the Division I SUNY (State University of New York) system.  Currently, she is working on her thesis in biology, studying to be a doctor.

Character

Stroilo is one of the best representatives of UAlbany.  A native of Ukraine, Stroilo is one of the team leaders and role models for not just her team, but for all of athletics.  She is a strong member of her community and the classroom, mentoring her fellow student-athletes on and off the court.

Community

Stroilo is a strong member of her community.  Her efforts in the community include contributing in events like Relay for Life, the AHA (American Heart Association) Heart Walk and Adopt a Family, helping with gifts during Christmas.  During the offseason, she and the team doing reading for local elementary and middle schools in the Capital District as well as teaching volleyball clinics at UAlbany.

Competition

Stroilo has been the top libero the past two years, earning America East Defensive Player of the Year each season.  Compiling 972 digs and 45 aces in her last two years, she earned All-Conference Second Team honors last season and has led UAlbany to an America East regular season title and two conference tournament berths.  She was the only defensive player to earn all-conference honors in the America East last season.
