Classroom
Zach Goodrich enters his senior season with a cumulative grade-point average of 3.155 as a sport management major at Towson University. This semester, Goodrich will complete 300 hours of an internship working with Towson’s Senior Woman Administrator, Tricia Brandenburg.
Character
Goodrich will be a three-time captain this spring—a clear look at how the rest of the locker room views his character and leadership ability. Tasked with making the difficult and unpopular decisions, Goodrich is not afraid to make those choices and stick to his guns. He is well-respected both on the field and in the classroom.
Community
Goodrich has helped Towson become one of the top lacrosse programs in the country in the fight against cancer. He has worked closely to lead the team in its efforts with HEADstrong Foundation, Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer organization, the ZERO Prostate Run and the Cool Kids Campaign, a local organization that helps regional families going through pediatric cancer.
Competition
On the field, Goodrich has been one of the best defensive midfielders in the country, earning first-team USILA All-America honors last season and second-team honors as a sophomore. He has won several awards for his play and has played in every game since his freshman season. Goodrich was the 2018 CAA Defensive Player of the Year and is the Inside Lacrosse Media selection to be the CAA Player of the Year as a defensive midfielder.
