Bryant is on the college’s Dean’s List and Scholar-Athlete List. She is a member of the women’s basketball team that won the CIAA women’s basketball highest grade point average team award the last two years. Bryant was named team captain this season as a senior. She was also selected team captain her junior season. Bryant suffered a serious knee injury that forced her to miss the final 16 games of her junior season. After offseason surgery and rehabilitation, Bryant is leading the team in scoring (17.0 ppg) as a senior after three games. In an exhibition contest against Division I Clemson, Bryant posted a double-double of 17 points and 14 rebounds. Bryant was a member of the women’s basketball team that served as volunteer instructors at a mini-day basketball clinic conducted by the team at the Raleigh (N.C.) Girls Club. The players motivated girls ages 6-13 to work hard, master fundamentals and achieve academically. Bryant was named to the All-CIAA team her freshman and sophomore seasons. She was on her way to another All-CIAA season as a junior before a knee injury derailed her. Bryant enters her senior season with 1,129 points and 517 rebounds. She led the team in scoring her freshman and sophomore seasons. Bryant was named CIAA rookie of the year and was selected to the All-CIAA rookie team as a freshman. She also was named HSRN Division II black college national rookie of the year. She led the Lady Falcons to the CIAA Southern Division title her sophomore season.
