Branscome is a two-time Dean’s List student, a Leadership Scholar, President’s List member and a member of the Kappa Delta Pi Honor Society. He is a team captain this season and is also the men’s basketball representative on the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC). Branscome has gone through a pair of changes while at Chowan. After his freshman season, Chowan moved into the CIAA and NCAA Division II. After his sophomore season, he went through a coaching change, and ultimately learned a brand new system. He is involved with the local Habitat for Humanity and helps at local elementary schools with after school programs. He was also heavily involved in the clean-up process after Hurricane Irene hit Murfreesboro in the fall of 2011. Branscome has been a four-year member of Chowan’s basketball team. He has totaled 90 points, including 14 three pointers throughout his career.
